Save The Sea Ice / Svalbard 25’
Polar bears are deeply tied to the sea ice, this year the ice cover in the Arctic was the lowest it’s ever been at its annual peak on March 22, 2025 and the lowest on record ever since the NASA started studying sea ice in 1979. Polar bears are dependent on this ecosystem for food, travel, and to raise their young. Its vital we take a closer look to polar regions and this shocking and concerning data of lost of sea ice, cause it means polar bears have less time and space to hunt seals, they primarily food source and puts the survival of the species at a huge risk. A fast anthropogenic (human-induced) warming and changing planet, without taking major action to stop it means we are going to lose precious species like polar bears, the alarm should be ringing loud and hard for the health of our planet, from glaciers retrieving and disappearing to coral reefs bleaching and dying from warm temperatures in our oceans, its a must we start taking action today.
We found this beautiful Female Polar bear resting on an iceberg, next to a Glacier that means top quality water filled with nutrients for the entire ecosystem.
